About Orlando Pirates FC 2026/27 Season Ticket

ORLANDO PIRATES FOOTBALL CLUB SEASON TICKET TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1.                   Definitions and Interpretation

In these Terms,

1.1.                            “Club” or "OPFC" means Orlando Pirates Football Club and its successors and assigns;

1.2.                            "CPA" means the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008;

1.3.                            “Holder” means the natural person in whose name a Season Ticket is issued;

1.4.                            “Match Value” means the Price Paid divided by the number of Matches covered under Clause 7, and used only to determine any refund, credit or cancellation adjustment under these Terms — it is not a separately saleable match-ticket price;

1.5.                            “Match” means a Betway Premiership fixture played by the Club's first team at Orlando Stadium or (for the OPFC Derby and the Mamelodi Sundowns fixture) FNB Stadium during the 2026/2027 season, as published on the Club's official website;

1.6.                            “POPIA” means the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013; and

1.7.                            “Price Paid” means the amount actually paid by the Holder for the Season Ticket, excluding any separately disclosed once-off administration fee;

1.8.                            “SASREA” means the Safety at Sports and Recreational Events Act 2 of 2010;

1.9.                            "Season Ticket" means the personalised linked digital ticket or digital access issued by or on behalf of the Club that evidences the licence described in Clause 3;

1.10.                         “Ticketing Agent” means Open Tickets (Pty) Ltd, trading as Open Tickets, operating at www.opentickets.co.za;

A reference to a statute includes regulations made under it and any amendment or re-enactment.

2.                   Application of these Terms

2.1                              These Terms apply to every Season Ticket sold for the 2026/2027 Betway Premiership season, in addition to (not instead of) the Ticketing Agent's own Terms and Conditions, Purchase Policy and Privacy Policy published at www.opentickets.co.za, venue regulations, the PSL ticket conditions, the safety directions of SAPS, Stadium Management and any authorised official under SASREA.

2.2                              If these incorporated documents conflict with one another, the following order of precedence applies, to the extent permitted by law: (a) any right or protection that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the CPA; (b) these Terms, on matters concerning the Season Ticket product itself, cancellation, and the Club's remedies against a Holder; (c) the PSL ticket conditions and the venue regulations, on match-day admission, safety and conduct; and (d) the Ticketing Agent's terms, on payment processing and platform functionality only.

2.3                              By purchasing or using a Season Ticket, the purchaser and the Holder each agree to be bound by these Terms.

3.                   Nature of the Season Ticket

3.1                              A digital Season Ticket or associated digital access credential is a personal, non-transferable and revocable licence granted by the Club to the Holder to attend the Matches listed in Clause 7, subject to these Terms. It is not a sale of goods, does not create any proprietary or ownership interest in the Holder, and the digital Season Ticket (including any account, barcode or digital credential associated with it) remains the property of the Club at all times.

3.2                              The Club may suspend, deactivate or void a Season Ticket in accordance with Clause 13. On the expiry, suspension or termination of the Season Ticket, the Club may deactivate or disable the digital Season Ticket and any associated digital access credential.

3.3                              Nothing in these Terms transfers any right, title or interest in the Club's intellectual property, including its name, crest, trade marks or the design, format, software, QR code, barcode and functionality of the digital Season Ticket.

4.                   Eligibility, Registration and Payment

4.1                              A purchaser must register a profile with the Ticketing Agent and provide accurate, current identification, contact and payment information. Each profile is limited to a maximum of 10 Season Ticket packages, intended to accommodate genuine group and family purchases. Each Season Ticket must be issued in the name of an identified natural person. No company, close corporation, trust, partnership, association or other juristic person may be registered as a Holder. Where a purchaser purchases more than one Season Ticket package, the purchaser must provide the required identification and contact information for each Holder before the relevant Season Ticket is issued.

4.2                              The Club may refuse, cancel or void a purchase where the purchaser provides false or incomplete information, uses multiple or fictitious profiles to circumvent the 10-package limit, or uses automated software, bots or scripts to purchase Season Tickets.

4.3                              Season Tickets are only available for purchase through the Ticketing Agent's online platform. The Club does not sell Season Tickets through any other outlet and is not responsible for tickets purchased through unauthorised third parties.

4.4                              Full payment is required at the time of purchase unless the Club publishes an instalment option. A Season Ticket is not valid, and the licence in Clause 3 does not arise, until payment has cleared in full.

4.5                              The Ticketing Agent, and not the Club, is responsible for the operation of the online purchasing platform, payment processing and electronic issuance, activation and administration of the digital Season Ticket. The Club is not liable for any failure, error, delay or security incident on the Ticketing Agent's platform, save to the extent such liability cannot lawfully be excluded. Complaints about the purchasing platform itself should be directed to the Ticketing Agent in the first instance, and complaints about Match access or Club conduct should be directed to the Club at the contact details in Clause 25.

5.                   Purchase Notice and Acknowledgement

5.1                              A Season Ticket cannot be cancelled once purchased except as set out in Clause 9, resale and ticket touting are prohibited and may result in the Season Ticket being voided under Clause 10.

5.2                              Clauses 14 (assumption of risk) and 15 (limitation of liability) contain important restrictions on the Club's liability. You must acknowledge that notice before the purchase can be completed.

1.                   Price and No Automatic Renewal

6.1                              The price of a Season Ticket for the 2026/2027 season is as published by the Club and the Ticketing Agent at the time of purchase and is inclusive of any fees disclosed at checkout.

6.2                              A Season Ticket is valid for the 2026/2027 Betway Premiership season only and does not automatically renew. Should the Club introduce a renewal or priority-purchase scheme for a future season, the terms of that scheme (including any minimum-attendance condition and any change in price) will be published separately and will not be implied into these Terms.

7.                   Matches Included and Excluded

7.1                              A Season Ticket entitles the Holder to general stand admission to all Betway Premiership home fixtures played by the Club at Orlando Stadium during the 2026/2027 season, together with the OPFC Derby and the Mamelodi Sundowns fixture played at FNB Stadium, as more fully listed on the Club's official website.

7.2                              A Season Ticket specifically excludes, and does not entitle the Holder to admission to: (a) any MTN8, Nedbank Cup or other domestic cup competition fixture; (b) any CAF Champions League, CAF Confederation Cup or other continental or international club competition fixture played by the Club, which is ticketed separately if and when the Club qualifies; (c) exhibition matches, including Club Legends, DDC or Youth Development fixtures; and (d) any hospitality product, which is not itself a ticket and is subject to separate booking and availability as described in Clause 20.

7.3                              The Hospitality Discount benefit referred to in the Club's Season Ticket materials does not apply to the OPFC Derby fixture and is limited to a maximum of 5 hospitality packages per Season Ticket Holder per season, as more fully described in Clause 20.

8.                   Fixture Changes, Postponement, Relocation and Abandonment

8.1                              The Betway Premiership match calendar, kick-off times, venues and broadcast arrangements are set by the Premier Soccer League ("PSL") and are outside the Club's control. The Club may change the date, kick-off time or venue of a Match at any time, including after a Season Ticket has been issued, and will use reasonable efforts to publicise material changes on its official website and via the Ticketing Agent.

8.2                              No refund, exchange or compensation is payable solely because a Match date, time or venue changes, or because a Holder is unable to attend a rescheduled Match, save as set out in Clauses 8.3 to 8.5.

8.3                              If a Match is (a) cancelled and not rescheduled during the season, or (b) ordered by SAFA, the PSL, SAPS or an authorised official under SASREA to be played without spectators, or (c) abandoned after kick-off and not replayed, the Club will, at its discretion, either issue the Holder with a credit equal to the Match Value, redeemable against a future Club ticketed event, or refund the Match Value. This Clause 8.3 does not apply where the cancellation, closed-doors order or abandonment arises from conduct of the Holder or of Season Ticket holders generally (including sanction, unrest or safety incidents attributable to spectator conduct), in which case no refund or credit is payable.

8.4                              If a lawful capacity restriction on the venue means that not every Season Ticket Holder can be admitted to a Match, the Club may operate a fair and reasonably communicated allocation or ballot process to determine admission for that Match. A Holder who is not admitted under that process is entitled to the Match Value.

8.5                              A Holder who presents a valid Season Ticket and is nonetheless refused admission because a gate is closed or entry is restricted for safety, security or crowd-management reasons (and not because of the Holder's own breach of these Terms, an invalid or already-used Season Ticket, late arrival, or prior use of the Season Ticket for that Match) is entitled to the Match Value, once the Club has reasonably verified the Holder's eligibility and non-entry.

8.6                              The Club is not liable for any other loss (including travel, accommodation or loss of enjoyment) arising from a fixture change, postponement, relocation, capacity restriction or abandonment, save as expressly provided in Clauses 8.3 to 8.5.

9.                   Cancellation by the Holder

9.1                              A Holder may cancel a Season Ticket at any stage before the end of the season by giving the Club written notice, in the exercise of the Holder's right under section 17 of the CPA to cancel an advance booking or reservation.

9.2                              On a cancellation under Clause 9.1, the Club may deduct from the Price Paid: (a) the Match Value for each Match that has already taken place before the cancellation takes effect, whether or not the Holder attended; (b) the value of any ancillary benefit under Clause 20 already used; and (c) a reasonable cancellation charge, having regard to the notice given, the Club's reasonable costs, the extent to which the Club can reasonably expect to sell the remaining admissions to another person, and general industry practice for similar products. The balance, if any, will be refunded to the Holder within 30 business days.

9.3                              No cancellation charge under clause 9.2(c) will be applied where the Season Ticket cannot be used because of the Holder’s death or hospitalisation, on reasonable supporting proof, consistent with section 17(5) of the CPA. This does not affect the deductions in Clause 9.2(a) and (b) for Matches or benefits already supplied.

9.4                              Outside of Clauses 9.1 to 9.3, and save as set out in Clause 8, a Season Ticket cannot be exchanged for another product, and no refund is payable for a Match the Holder simply chooses not to attend.

10.                   Prohibition on Resale and Ticket Touting

10.1                          A Season Ticket is personal to the Holder and is for private, non-commercial use only. Save via an official Club-operated transfer or gifting mechanism (if and when the Club makes one available), a Season Ticket may not be sold, resold, offered for sale, advertised for sale, or otherwise disposed of to a third party for value. Any transfer or gifting permitted through an official Club-operated mechanism will be effective only once the Season Ticket has been electronically reissued in the name of the recipient, who must be a natural person and satisfy the registration requirements in clause 4.

10.2                          The Holder's attention is specifically drawn to section 5(2) of SASREA, which makes it an offence for a person to obtain an event ticket for a commercial purpose with the intention to resell it, or to sell, dispose of, or promote the sale of an event ticket without the prior written authorisation of the Club. The Club may report suspected contraventions to SAPS and to the PSL and may share the Holder's registration data with them for that purpose.

10.3                          Without limiting any statutory offence, if the Club reasonably suspects that a Season Ticket has been obtained or used in breach of Clause 4.2 or this Clause 10, the Club may, in addition to any other remedy: (a) immediately void the Season Ticket without refund; (b) recover from the Holder any profit made through the unauthorised sale; (c) suspend or ban the Holder from purchasing further tickets from the Club, for a period proportionate to the conduct and not exceeding five years; and (d) notify the PSL, other PSL clubs, and SAPS.

10.4                          Clause 13.4 (proportionality and reinstatement) applies equally to action taken under this Clause 10.

11.                   Digital Season Ticket Security and Access

1.1.                 The Season Ticket will be issued solely as a digital access credential linked to the Holder’s registered profile with the Ticketing Agent. The Holder must keep secure the Holder’s account credentials, mobile device and any barcode, QR code or other access credential associated with the Season Ticket.

1.2.                 The Holder must notify the Club or the Ticketing Agent as soon as reasonably possible if the Holder’s registered device is lost, the Holder cannot access the digital Season Ticket, or the Holder reasonably suspects that the account or digital credential has been accessed, copied or used by an unauthorised person.

1.3.                 The Club or Ticketing Agent may deactivate the affected digital credential and, after reasonably verifying the Holder’s identity, restore access or issue a replacement digital credential. The Holder remains responsible for any use of the credential until its deactivation has been confirmed.

1.4.                 Except through an official transfer or gifting mechanism made available under clause 10.1, the Holder may not copy, reproduce, share, transmit or permit another person to use the digital Season Ticket or its barcode, QR code or other access credential.

12.                   Security, Prohibited Items and Search

12.1                          Entry to the venue is subject to the safety and security measures required by SASREA and by SAPS, Stadium Management and the Club's own security personnel ("Authorised Officials"), including a personal and bag search. A Holder who refuses to be searched may be refused entry without refund.

12.2                          The following items, without limitation, are prohibited from the venue and will be confiscated if found: weapons, ammunition, traditional weapons and knives; alcohol and non-prescribed narcotics; any beverage other than water in a sealed container of 500ml or less; cans, glass or metal containers, and hard cooler boxes; explosives, fireworks and incendiary devices, including flares and smoke bombs; compressed gas containers, aerosols and self-defence sprays; chemicals, including dry ice, and cooking/braai equipment; umbrellas with sharp metal points; sporting equipment (other than miniatures for autographs); musical instruments (other than plastic vuvuzelas); lasers, strobes and powerful detachable camera flash equipment; professional photographic or video equipment (including lenses over 300mm); bicycles, scooters and skateboards; animals other than registered guide dogs; and any banner, flag or hand-out that is offensive, vulgar, racist, sexist, discriminatory, inflammatory, or of an ambush-marketing or safety-risk nature.

12.3                          Authorised Officials may seize a prohibited or restricted item under section 20 of SASREA. Confiscated items will not be returned and no compensation is payable.

12.4                          This Clause 12 does not limit any Authorised Official's independent statutory powers, and in the event of any conflict between this Clause and a lawful direction of an Authorised Official at the venue, the direction of the Authorised Official prevails.

13.                   Misuse, Suspension, Termination and Banning

13.1                          Without limiting any other clause, the Club may refuse admission, eject a Holder from the venue, suspend a Season Ticket, terminate a Season Ticket, or ban a Holder from purchasing future tickets (for a stated period or indefinitely), in each case without refund, where the Holder or a person using the Holder's Season Ticket: (a) breaches these Terms, the venue regulations; (b) engages in violent, threatening, discriminatory, racist, sexist or otherwise abusive conduct or language; (c) is found in possession of a prohibited item under Clause 12; (d) is subject to a prohibition notice or spectator exclusion notice under sections 21 or 22 of SASREA, or to an equivalent football banning order; (e) engages in or facilitates ticket touting in breach of Clause 10; (f) provides false information to obtain a Season Ticket; or (g) otherwise endangers the safety of any person at the venue.

13.2                          Where circumstances reasonably require immediate action to protect safety, the Club may take the steps in Clause 13.1 pending investigation and will give the Holder written reasons within a reasonable time afterwards.

13.3                          The Club may share the Holder's name, Season Ticket number and relevant details of the conduct with SAPS, the PSL, other PSL clubs and Stadium Management for the purpose of preventing violence, enforcing a ban, or complying with a legal obligation.

13.4                          The Club will exercise its powers under this Clause 13 and under Clause 10 proportionately to the conduct concerned. The Club will not suspend, terminate or ban a Holder for the unforeseeable conduct of a third party who used the Holder's Season Ticket without the Holder's knowledge or facilitation, although the Club may still investigate and, if appropriate, restrict the transfer or gifting mechanism referred to in Clause 10.1 for that Season Ticket. If, following investigation or an appeal under Clause 21, a sanction imposed on an interim basis under Clause 13.2 is not sustained, the Club will reinstate the Season Ticket and pay the Holder the Match Value for any Match missed solely because of that interim sanction, unless another lawful ground independently justified the Holder's exclusion.

14.                   Health, Safety and Assumption of Risk

14.1                          THIS CLAUSE LIMITS THE CLUB'S LIABILITY TO YOU. PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY. This Clause 14 and Clause 15 are among the clauses drawn to the Holder's attention under Clause 5 before purchase, in order to satisfy section 49 of the CPA.

14.2                          Attendance at a stadium event carries inherent risks, including but not limited to crowd movement, noise, use of pyrotechnics by others, and the conduct of other spectators. By using a Season Ticket, the Holder acknowledges and accepts these inherent risks to the extent permitted by law.

14.3                          The Holder is solely responsible for checking the date, time, venue and any age restriction applicable to a Match before attending and is advised to arrive early. The Club may refuse entry after kick-off or after a published cut-off time for safety reasons, and no refund is payable in that circumstance.

16.                   Force Majeure

16.1                          The Club is not liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms to the extent caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to: government or PSL/SAFA directive; civil unrest, riot or public disorder; fire, flood or other act of God; epidemic or pandemic; power or telecommunications failure; strike or industrial action; or an order of a court, SAPS or an Authorised Official under SASREA.

16.2                          Where a Match cannot be played, or is played without spectators, as a direct result of an event described in Clause 16.1, the remedy available to the Holder is limited to the credit or refund described in Clause 8.3, and no further compensation is payable.

1.                   Image, Audio and Video Rights

17.1                          By attending a Match, the Holder consents to being photographed, filmed and recorded as a member of the crowd, and to the Club's use of such images and recordings, together with any footage that includes the Holder incidentally, for broadcast, promotional, marketing, training, editorial, security and archival purposes, in any medium including print, television and the internet.

17.2                          All intellectual property rights in photographs, video and audio recordings taken by or on behalf of the Club at the venue vest in the Club. The Holder may not make unauthorised commercial use of any Match footage, including live-streaming or re-broadcasting any part of a Match, other than incidental personal use on social media that does not amount to broadcast of match action.

2.                   Data Protection (POPIA)

18.1                          The Club processes the Holder's personal information (including name, contact details, date of birth, payment reference, Season Ticket usage data, and, where captured, photographic or video images) for the purposes of: administering the Season Ticket and the underlying contract; verifying eligibility and preventing fraud and ticket touting; safety and security, including compliance with SASREA; marketing communications (where the Holder has not opted out); and complying with the Club's legal obligations, including obligations to SAFA, the PSL, SAPS and Stadium Management.

18.2                          The lawful bases for this processing are, as applicable: performance of the contract constituted by these Terms (section 11(1)(b) of POPIA); compliance with a legal obligation (section 11(1)(c)); and the Club's legitimate interests in operating a safe and secure event and preventing ticket fraud (section 11(1)(f)), balanced against the Holder's rights.

18.3                          The Club may share the Holder's personal information with the Ticketing Agent, SAPS, the PSL, other PSL clubs, and Stadium Management, strictly for the purposes described in Clause 18.1, and will not sell the Holder's personal information to any third party.

18.4                          The Holder may object to processing carried out on the basis of the Club's legitimate interests, on reasonable grounds relating to the Holder's particular situation, by contacting the Club's Information Officer at the details published on the Club's website and may exercise any other right available under Chapter 3 of POPIA, including the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.

3.                   Minors, Age-Restricted Matches and Accessibility

19.1                          Where a Match or an area of the venue is subject to an age restriction published by the Club or required by SASREA, the Holder is responsible for ensuring that any minor accompanying them, or using a Season Ticket registered to a minor, meets that restriction and, where required, is accompanied by an adult and carries valid proof of age.

19.2                          The Club may refuse admission to a minor who does not meet a published age restriction or accompaniment requirement, and no refund is payable in that circumstance.

19.3                          The Club will take reasonable steps to accommodate a Holder with a disability, including considering accessible seating, companion admission and alternative access arrangements, on request and subject to venue capacity, safety requirements and applicable law. A Holder requiring such accommodation should contact the Club in advance using the details in Clause 25.

4.                   Ancillary Benefits

20.1                          Season Ticket Holders receive access to a dedicated Fast Lane at the access gate and a 25% discount off any hospitality package purchased for a Betway Premiership home fixture at Orlando Stadium during the 2026/2027 season, excluding the OPFC Derby, limited to a maximum of 5 hospitality packages per Holder per season, and subject to hospitality availability and separate hospitality terms.

20.2                          Ancillary benefits described in this Clause 20 are provided at the Club's discretion, are not separately transferable, and may be varied, reduced or withdrawn by the Club on reasonable notice where operationally necessary, without entitling the Holder to any refund of the Season Ticket price.

5.                   Complaints and Appeals

21.1                          A Holder who wishes to dispute a sanction imposed under Clause 13 may submit a written appeal to the Club within 14 days of the sanction, setting out the grounds of appeal, to the contact details in Clause 25.

21.2                          The Club will acknowledge the appeal within 5 business days and provide a written decision within 30 days. The Club's decision on appeal is final, without prejudice to the Holder's rights under the CPA or to approach the National Consumer Commission or a court of competent jurisdiction.

6.                   Variation of these Terms

22.1                          The Club may amend these Terms from time to time, including between seasons, to reflect changes in the law, PSL/SAFA regulations, security requirements or the Club's ticketing arrangements. Amended Terms will be published on the Club's official website, and, where a change materially affects a current Season Ticket Holder's rights during the 2026/2027 season, the Club will take reasonable steps to notify Holders directly.

7.                   General

23.1                          If any provision of these Terms is found unlawful or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed and the remaining provisions continue in full force.

23.2                          These Terms, together with the documents incorporated by reference in Clause 2.1, constitute the entire agreement between the Club and the Holder in relation to the Season Ticket, and supersede any prior representation not recorded in writing.

23.3                          A failure by the Club to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of its right to do so later.

23.4                          The Club may cede or delegate its rights and obligations under these Terms to a successor operator of Orlando Stadium or of the Club's ticketing function, on notice to Holders.

8.                   Governing Law and Jurisdiction

24.1                          These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa. The Holder and the Club submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa, without prejudice to the Holder's right to refer a dispute to the National Consumer Commission, the National Consumer Tribunal, or the Information Regulator, as applicable.

9.                   Contact and Enquiries
